A nano meter is a measure of length that is one billionth of a length of a meter.

Nano shells may be the future's best way to fight cancer. Nano shells are about 120 nano meters in size- that's 1,500 times smaller than a human hair. The shells are injected in to a tumor. Then the tumor is heated. Temperatures inside the tumor become high enough to damage the cancer cells..

Researchers can use results from the process to get information about a person's susceptibility to lung cancer. In mineral resources which are important in Nano Technology.
