Exercise

Physical exercise is necessary for health. Physical exercise means exercise of the body. Some get all they need in their daily work. Ploughmen,coolies and blacksmiths work hard with their muscles all day. But clerks, teachers and students do not. They sit all day working their heads. They must get some bodily exercise when work is over; Without exercise of some kind they will get weak and fat. Exercise can be can be taken in many ways.

One of the best ways is to play some outdoor game. Foot ball, hockey, cricket and tennis are all good forms of exercise. Riding is a good exercise for those who can afford a horse. Walking suits many people and is is cheap. Perhaps swimming is the best. It exercises all the muscles of the body. Besides these there gymnastic and physical drills. They strengthen the muscles. They improve the general health.
